What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telemetry RN position at Chandler Regional Medical Center?
We are seeking a skilled ED Holds/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team at Chandler Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac tele background and preferably 2 years of experience. This role involves caring for patients in the Emergency Department (ED) who are awaiting placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months
- The ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer
- Competence in decreasing cardiac drips according to physicians' orders and parameters
- Titrating drips as required
The schedule will involve approximately 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to self-schedule subject to change. Weekend and holiday requirements include 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule and rotating in with permanent staff during holidays.
Unit Specific Information:
- Unit/Department-specific orientation: 2-shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus
- Floating requirements: Floating to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC EDs as needed
- Scrub color/dress code: Navy
The successful candidate will possess current ACLS and BLS certification, with experience titrating common drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. Strong analytical skills are necessary to read and interpret electrocardiogram strips, as monitor technicians are not available in the ED.
