Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in ED Holds / Tele Must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the offer through RELIAS Pass / Fail SIM LAB on day one of the orientation Schedule Information 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a) Ability to self-schedule, subject to change occasionally 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule Rotate in with the perm staff for holiday requirement No call required Unit Specific Information Ratios : 1 to 4 Common diagnoses / Types of patients : ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS / Tele ED PCTs available May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medication administration, but not as primary RN for ED patient assignment First to float, could float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert Additional Details Strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years Experience with common titratable & / or set rate drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone No Vents on the unit Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips as there is no monitor tech in the ED
