Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS AZ state licensure or compact licensure Job Details THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED. Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage. Flexibility is a must. Job Requirements The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and AZ license or compact license. UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position. Pass / fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation. COVID vaccine required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval. Schedule Information Self scheduling. Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs. 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule May have 1 holiday off in an assignment No additional call / standby shifts required. Unit Specific Information Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery Medical ICU - Medical Cardiac Overflow Expectation to float between all 3 ICUs. Charge Nurses do not take patients No nurse aids on unit, only used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary Hospitalist or Intensivist in house 24 / 7 RNs required to intrepret own strip. GE monitors Nurse : Patient Ratios 1 : 2, 1 : 1 Additional Details Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed. Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts. Flexibility with scheduling is a must. Travelers may be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs.
