- THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED. The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience. Flexibility is a must. COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
- 3 full years of current ICU experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Active AZ license or compact license
- Ability to float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed
- Every other weekend is required
- Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts
- Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation
- Contract length of 13 weeks
- Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage
- Self-scheduling. Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs
- 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule
- Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday. Dayshift are Saturday - Sunday
- May have 1 holiday off in an assignment
- No additional call/standby shifts required
- SICU: Trauma, neuro and specialty devices
- MCU: Medical Cardiac Overflow
- CVICU: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
- Charge Nurse responsibilities: Yes, do not take patients
- Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery
- Level 1 trauma Center
- COVID, sepsis, ARDS, common titratable & set rate drips
- No nursing aids, only sitters and Health Unit Secretary
- Intensivist in house 24/7
- Self scheduling and block scheduling possible
- Navy scrub color/dress code
