Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,014 per week

Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED. The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred). Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed. Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage. Flexibility is a must. Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts. There is also a pass / fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions). Job Requirements 3 years of recent ICU experience required. Active BLS certification required. Active ACLS certification required. Active NIHSS certification required. Active AZ license or compact license required. TNCC preferred. Schedule Information Self scheduling allowed. Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs. 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule required. Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday. Dayshift weekends are Saturday - Sunday. May have 1 holiday off in an assignment. Unit Specific Information Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery Beds : 32 Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 2, 1 : 1 Charge Nurse : Yes, do not take patients Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : Yes, 24 / 7 RT in ICU 24 / 7 : Yes No monitor techs on unit, RN required to interpret own strip. GE monitors. Additional Details Auto-offer based off clinical prescreen. UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position. MAX ATTEMPTS IS 2. There is also a pass / fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation. Will validate skills for trauma, neuro and speciality devices as needed. Sister units are a medical / cardiac 36 bed ICU & 12 bed overflow ICU. Expectation is to float between all 3 ICUs.
