- A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
- The right candidate will have 2 years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
- Travelers must be able to titrate drips!
- There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
- Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
- 2 years of current tele experience
- Active BLS certification
- Active ACLS certification
- Active AZ license or compact
- Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
- Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (2 max attempts)
- Pass/fail Sim lab on day one of orientation
- 12 hr shifts, 7-7
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating is required between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses
- Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start
- Floating to different units mid-shift can happen
- Tele B3A: 32 beds, Charge Nurse, 1:3-4 ratios, must interpret EKGs.
- A3 Neuro: 28 beds, Charge Nurse, 1:3-4 ratios, must interpret EKGs, neuro post surgical patients.
- MedSurg C5: 32 beds, Charge Nurse, 1:4 ratios, 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology.
- MedSurg B2C: 29 beds, Charge Nurse, 1:4 ratios, General MedSurg patients that require tele.
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Auto Offer off of Prescreen
- MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS!
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele.
- No pediatrics, 15 y/o and older.
