Certification Details

- Travelers must be able to interpret EKGs.
- A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
- The right candidate will have 2 years of current tele experience.
- TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS!!
- There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
- Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
- 2 years of current tele experience
- An active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact
- Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
- Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 7-7.
- Floating to different units mid-shift can happen.
- Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start.
- Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
- Unit: CV Tele B3A, A3 Neuro, MedSurg C5, and others
- Ratios range from 1:3-4 and 1:4 depending on the unit.
- Floor specific orientation for each unit.
- Common diagnosis include post cath lab, vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele, neuro post-surgical, post-crani, spine, CVAs post TPA, general MedSurg patients requiring tele.
- Surgical, Oncology, and other unit details provided
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS are required certifications.
- Travelers will float between all Tele and MedSurg units.
- Depending on skill level, nurses may float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, and other units.
- Will float to different units mid-shift and possibly to another campus within a single shift.
