Job Details

  • A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS / Tele float pool.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
  • Travelers must be able to titrate drips!
  • There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
  • Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass / fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.

    • Job Requirements

  • 2 years of current tele experience
  • Active BLS certification
  • Active ACLS certification
  • AZ license or compact
  • Ability to titrate cardiac drips
  • Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (2 max attempts)
  • Pass / fail Sim lab on day one of orientation

    • Schedule Information

  • 12 hr shifts, 7-7
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend
  • Floating is required between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses
  • Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start
  • Floating to different units mid-shift can happen

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Charge Nurse : Yes, no patient assignment
  • Techs : PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients
  • Shifts : 12 hrs. 7-7
  • Floor specific orientation : 2 days on the floor

    • Additional Details

  • MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS!
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele.
  • No pediatrics, 15 y / o and older.
