WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll be instrumental in achieving operational excellence. In this role, you will:
- Support the Area Manager in overseeing all aspects of property operations, to include but not limited to guest services, housekeeping, and food & beverage.
- Lead and motivate department heads to achieve their goals, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage financial performance, including timely AP entries, budgets, forecasts, and expense control.
- Handle guest feedback, resolving issues, embracing compliments and enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Partner with Area Manager and corporate leadership team to develop creative ways to drive revenues in all aspects of the property.
- Assist in hiring, training, and developing a talented and engaged team.
- Ensure compliance with all brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel.
WHAT YOU BRING
We’re seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader who, with a little bit of mentoring, wants to quickly grow their career and could have the opportunity to become the hotel’s next General Manager. To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Minimum 3 years of Assistant General Manager experience, with a proven track record of success. Advanced knowledge of FOSSE & other Marriott systems will get you to the front of the line.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Exceptional financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasts.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative mindset to develop new streams of revenue.
- Creative approach to enhance team member experience.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest & associate experiences.
