Position Summary:
Construction Phase
This entry-level position will perform construction and field observation on projects for assurance that the project has been completed in close compliance with plans and specifications. Once trained, position works independently with minimal supervision and will apply knowledge of construction practices and equipment testing requirements to document Contractor’s construction progress and perform quality assurance on projects.
Operation Phase
Responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of industrial manufacturing and packaging equipment (such as Medium Voltage switchboard, transformer, generator, DC charger, MCC, motor, UPS, PLC, DCS, process transmitter.. etc) requiring a strong electrical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but not limited to the following:
Construction Phase
- Assist manager/engineer in engineering design and procurement of electrical/instrument equipment.
- Perform managing the arrival status of electrical/instrument equipment.
- Collaborate with logistic team managing the storage of electrical/instrument equipment and perform equipment turnover to contractors.
- Perform general and advanced construction.
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications and drawings for quality assurance.
- Perform field observation for monitoring performance and progress of contractors and have the ability to confront design compliance issues with contractors when identified.
- Use measuring tools and gauges to confirm if construction comply with standard, such as grounding test, mega test, loop test, parameter setting ..etc.
- Assist to complete detailed construction reports.
Operation Phase
- Assist manager/engineer in daily management of electrical/instrument equipment, such as adding new equipment, device modification, spare parts procurement and storage, construction, start-up commissioning, maintenance ..etc.
- Assist to complete preventive and proactive maintenance plan.
- Perform effectively preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on electrical/instrument equipment.
- Read and interpret test results or reports to perform corresponding correction on electrical/instrument equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting of electrical/instrument equipment such as Medium Voltage switchboard, transformer, generator, DC charger, MCC, motor, UPS, PLC, DCS, process transmitter.. etc.
- Initial responder when production line stops and assures appropriate electrical/instrument help is on-site.
- Utilize measuring tools and root-cause analysis skill to investigate error signal, message or information to diagnose problems when electrical/instrument equipment malfunction.
- Perform repair and maintain the operating condition of electrical/instrument equipment including inspection, assembly, dis-assembly, and replacement as necessary.
- Perform electrcial inspection of machine tools for conformance with safety standard before constructor start construction.
- Prioritizes work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools and utility systems to minimize manufacturing downtime and completes all required paperwork and documentation in the SAP.
- Perform other duties as required by the manager/engineer.
Required/Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2-year degree from technical school or college, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in industrial manufacturing maintenance required.
- Must have 12.47KV Medium Voltage and 480V Low Voltage operating, troubleshooting and repair skills, such as transformer, generator, DC charger, MCC, motor, UPS ..etc.
- Must have instrument operating, troubleshooting and repair skills, such as flow, level, pressure, temp, PH transmitter ..etc.
- Must have DCS or PLC operating skills.
- DCS or PLC programming experience preferred.
- Access Control, CCTV, Network and PAGA experience preferred.
- Must be available to work off shifts and work overtime depending on business needs.
- On-call is required under operation phase
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
- Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, OSHA, environmental agencies, applicable codes, and regulatory agencies

5.) Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards.
6.) Chemical protective clothing is required for chemical hazards working area.
7.) Work is primarily outside and will have exposure to extreme weather conditions and nature elements. Will need appropriate clothing for extreme weather conditions.
8.) Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl and balance for extended periods of time.
9.) In specific condition, working at height is required.
10.) Need to work at trailer office under construction phase.
11.) Must pass a pre-employment medical exam to wear a respirator.
12.) Must be able to wear a respirator for the duration of painting and confined space operations.
