Position Summary
The Supply Chain Coordinator will manage a variety of departmental accounts, meeting their logistics and supply chain needs including expedited transactions and government compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Communicating with Headquarters located in Taipei for order processing and shipment arrangements.
- Receive, review, and process international shipments, produces accurate documentation based upon government guidelines.
- Maintains inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing transportation charges.
- Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, Customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required and arrange and track delivery of goods.
- Clearly identify urgent priority shipments, escalate, and provide alternate options.
- Proactively maintain communication on status of shipments. Answers emails regarding basic questions about inventory, transportation scheduling, etc.
- Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, manage stored information, and respond to inquiries.
- Invoice clients within an established time frame including follow up on vendor invoices and payment.
- Perform general administrative work and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School Diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred (business, supply chain, accounting, or a related field highly desired)
- 1 to 3 years of transportation or supply chain related experience preferred
- Experience in SAP is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
- Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk, and deal with problems.
- Proficient in all MS Office products.
- Accurate typing / data entry skills.
- Read, analyze and interpret complex procedures or regulations and write correspondence.
- Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs and solicits customer feedback to improve performance.
- Customer service and relationship building skills.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Recommends solutions to common problems.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide assistance, when necessary, under reasonable pressures.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
- A customer-focused (internal and external) mindset, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Time management skills to organize daily planning and monthly activities and meet deadlines
- Ability to shift priorities quickly without losing attention to detail
