Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Perform comprehensive health assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop, implement, and monitor patient-centered care plans.
Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with the scope of practice and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging) and interpret results.
Provide counseling and education on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of conditions.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Perform procedures within the scope of practice, such as wound care, suturing, or biopsies.
Administrative Duties:
Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines, organizational policies, and regulatory standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to practice development.
Educate and mentor nursing staff or students as needed.
Other Duties:
Advocate for patients and their families to ensure culturally competent and holistic care.
Participate in research, policy-making, and community health programs as applicable.
Stay current with advances in medical and nursing practices through continuing education.

Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a specialized area (e.g., Family, Adult-Gerontology, Pediatrics) by a recognized board (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
State licensure and prescriptive authority (if applicable).
DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances (if applicable).
Experience:
Extensive clinical experience as an NP.
Experience in a specific specialty area (e.g., primary care, emergency medicine) may be required based on the position.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
