The Finance Specialist is responsible for the administration of certain accounting and billing functions, and other areas of business or finance support as designated.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with all areas of Billing aspects.
- Review invoices/statements for accuracy.
- Prepare monthly budget recaps.
- Assist in cost allocation.
- Assist in maintaining fixed asset inventory schedule as assigned.
13. Assist in bank reconciliation.
14. Assist in maintaining a balanced general ledger.
15. Assist in Annual Financial Audit Preparation.
16. Performs accounts receivable applications for cash received in deposits for all sites. Assigns revenue coding for all deposits and expense coding for all debits to bank accounts.
17. Assist in billing and other automated accounting programs.
19. Answer telephones on a daily basis.
20. Promotes quality and safety to help maintain a safe and pleasant work environment, follows safety regulations, and actively contributes towards a safe workplace.
21. This position requires positive and active support of the company, the customer and the co-worker.
22. Must participate in quality management and quality improvement activities.
23. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Primary Contacts
- Frequent interaction with administrative and center wide personnel.
- Occasional interaction with vendors.
Position Requisites
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or billing related fields.
- Current Arizona Driver's License.
- Comply with a Drug Free workplace.
- Fingerprint Clearance.
Skills/Abilities
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting
- Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
- Literate.
- Ability to prioritize own work.
- Able to effectively employ analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to type accurately; perform numeric calculations; computer skills.
- Phone courtesy and customer service skills.
Preferred:
- Associates level in Business or Accounting fields preferred. Will consider Certificate of Proficiency in Business or Accounting.
- Effective time management skills
- Able to travel occasionally
- If under 21 employees will be required to sign a no-drive agreement.
