Summary
The Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) position provides assessments and performs as an assigned clinician and case manager. Advocates for customers, obtains entitlements, coordinates transportation between ChangePoint and other service providers. The BHT is expected to cooperate as a team member in the provision of a therapeutic environment that encourages each client’s emotional growth. This position will be expected to maintain an acceptable level of productivity
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides adequate assessments on clients
- Provides services to clients as an assigned clinician and case manager
- Is responsible for all aspects of the clinical records, provides crisis services and assists with service coordination for the client
- Engages and includes the client in the development and implementation of the treatment plan.
- Protects customer confidentiality and personal rights
- Keeps clear, concise, timely and accurate records of clinical activity and required clinical documentation according to policy and procedures
- Assists clients in obtaining entitlements and benefits pertaining to housing, income, health and other supportive services, as needed.
- Provides assertive outreach to clients who resist involvement or have difficulty accessing services.
- Establishes and maintains a working relationship with personnel and referral resources
- Supervises staff as assigned
- Maintain skill level, remain current on clinical practices, meet state standards for continued education
- Ability to identify signs of abuse and neglect
- Promotes quality and safety to help maintain a safe and pleasant work environment, follows safety regulations, and actively contributes towards a safe workplace
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in the Behavioral Health field
- Current Arizona Driver’s License.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Fingerprint Clearance
- Knowledge and ability to define the needs of the customer served.
- Comply with a Drug Free workplace.
