Dietary Aide

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in an Assisted Living setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive nutritious and safe meals tailored to their dietary needs. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices while providing excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience for our patients.

Duties

• Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Sanitate kitchen areas, including equipment and utensils, to maintain a clean and safe food preparation environment.
• Buss tables and deliver meals to patients in a timely manner, ensuring that all dietary restrictions are adhered to.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring food supplies and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food safety.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries or concerns regarding their meals.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a hospital or healthcare setting, is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• A background in culinary arts or meal preparation is a plus but not mandatory.
• A passion for helping others and contributing positively to patient care through nutrition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.72 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
