As a vital member of our clinic, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families while enjoying a supportive and positive work environment.Minimum Skills and Qualifications : Licensure : Current and valid Alaska license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and comply with State of Alaska licensure requirements.Certification : Active ASHA certification and in good standingPassion for Pediatric Care : Demonstrated dedication and enthusiasm for working with children and helping them reach their functional goals.Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and team members.Flexibility and Adaptability : Ability to adjust treatment plans based on individual client needs and progress.Empathy and Compassion : Strong interpersonal skills and empathy to understand and support the unique challenges children and their families may face.Creativity : Capacity to develop engaging and fun therapy sessions that motivate children to actively participate in their treatment.Job Responsibilities : Supervision : collaborate with assigned Speech-Language Pathologist surrounding treatment provision.Therapy Sessions : Provide engaging and effective occupational therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and play-based interventions.Progress Monitoring : Work with assigned Speech-Language Pathologist to regularly monitor and document a child's progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Family Collaboration : Involve families in the therapy process, providing support, education, and guidance to extend therapeutic gains into daily routines.Collaborative Approach : Work closely with other therapists and professionals within the clinic and community to provide integrated care and interdisciplinary support.Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely records of daily treatment sessions.Professional Development : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric occupational therapy through continuing education and training.Note : This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
