Junior Bookkeeper
The Junior Bookkeeper will be a key part of our finance team and responsible for leading the customer billing process, assisting with the timely and accurate payment for goods & services received to vendors, and assist the Controller and Accounting Team with month end close and other accounting activities.
The successful candidate will be detail orientated and possess a strong sense of accountability as well as integrity. The right individual will also possess excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude. Must enjoy being part of a team and willing to cross train within the accounting department
Essential Job Duties:
- Submit daily invoices for both Fresh and Frozen Seafood orders to customers
- Manage invoice submissions through customer portals
- Match PO’s to Vendor invoices, ensure accuracy of goods received and payment amounts and investigate variances with buyers
- Assist Sales Management with reviewing Invoiced Gross Margin reports
- Manage customer credit/billback process
- Assist Bookkeeper with organizing and entering A/P bills as needed
- Ensure all discretionary invoices are approved by department managers
- Manage vendor records and files
- Assist with reconciliation of storage bills to inventory prior to payments
- Assist in specials projects as needed.
- Process customer sales orders for billing once shipping documents are received
- Assist with accounting month end close as needed
