About This Role
As a Site Supervisor with the Channel Islands YMCA, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality childcare programs to children in our community. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily operations of one before and after school childcare site, ensuring that all aspects of the program meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and implement childcare programs in accordance with guidelines from State of California Community Care Licensing or California Department of Education Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs
- Supervise up to 14 children independently under these guidelines, or 20 children in accordance with guidelines from California Department of Education Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs
- Provide quality care and supervision to children, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to thrive
- Guide behaviors using positive methods, taking into account each child's unique needs and abilities
- Carry out activities and lesson plans that promote healthy eating and physical activity standards
