What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Systems Engineer position at Channel Personnel Services?
Work with a team of talented individuals to design, develop, install, commission & maintain state-of-the-art process control computer systems. Additionally, offer remote support for over 100 systems to maintain optimum production.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Design, develop and modify process control software used in chemical production systems.
Ø Troubleshoot process control software, hardware, instrumentation, and equipment to maintain optimum production expectations.
Ø Commission, monitor, evaluate, or inspect the installation of control systems equipment and instrumentation for compliance with design standards. Accommodate, adapt, and introduce changes to the design as required.
Ø Knowledge of design, development, and implementation with PC/PLC based process control systems and associated control panel fault diagnostics.
Ø PLC - Proficient in the design, development and application of Programmable Logic Controllers and programming software.
Ø SCADA - Knowledge of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software design, development, and implementation including graphical user interface (GUI) design, development, and enhancement.
Ø SQL - Understanding of SQL database design, development, implementation, and repair.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
v Previous process control experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
v Networking - Familiarity with computer networking hardware and implementation, both wired and wireless
