What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner Scheduler position at Channel Personnel Services?
The basic function of this role is to maximize work force capabilities through prioritizing, planning, and scoping of maintenance work orders. This position is expected to produce job plans that allow maintenance crafts to work safely and efficiently at multiple facilities in Southeast Louisiana.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø In addition, this role will perform the duties of the maintenance scheduler and assist in tracking, reviewing, and analyzing KPIs.
Ø This position requires a combination of office work and fieldwork.
Ø Develop job steps for work to be performed including – resource requirements (crafts and durations), parts and materials, special tools, technical info/sketches/drawings & safety/environmental requirements.
Ø Reserve or create purchase orders for necessary components and participate in the bidding process and requisitioning of third-party services.
Ø Coordinate the review of work backlog with production and maintenance personnel to ensure that all work is appropriately prioritized, planned, scheduled, and executed.
Ø Work closely with maintenance superintendent to level workforce requirements.
Ø Provide planning support during turnarounds as required.
Ø Create and receive requisitions for parts and external maintenance services as required.
Ø Provide time, resources, and cost estimates for work to be performed.
Ø Support the preparation of bid documents as necessary.
Ø Order and kitting materials for specific jobs.
Ø Work with Operations to ensure equipment availability.
Ø Coordinate daily and weekly maintenance planning meetings between Maintenance and Operations.
Ø Support Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. CMMS (EAM): Ensure the quality of the CMMS data. Ensure the quality of the Maintenance Backlog.
Ø Responsible for planning backlog.
Ø Tracking, reviewing, and analyzing KPIs to make informed recommendations for performance improvement.
Ø Assists in the creation and/or changes of equipment BOMs and EAM Master Data.
Ø Grouping notifications together can be planned and worked as a single order that optimizes utilization of resources.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v High school diploma with preferred relative technical school or college degree.
v Relative experience will be given strong consideration in lieu of formal education.
v Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Maintenance Planner in a manufacturing environment.
v Consideration will be given to candidates with applicable trade experience.
v Self-starter with a solid work history and excellent references along with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
