What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineering Director position at Channel Personnel Services?
Ø Oversee the development of management systems to monitor and track process unit performance. This includes feedstock quality, yields, energy efficiency, key process equipment performance, heater performance, catalyst performance, product quality, water chemistry, and corrosion rates on key equipment.
Ø Manage overall catalyst system for all sites, including activity monitoring, optimization, technical bid evaluation coordination/review, and future strategy. This applies to both traditional fixed-bed catalyst as well as for renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel catalysts.
Ø Assist sites with troubleshooting, including finding qualified external and internal SMEs to get resolution of problems.
Ø Oversee technical side of process support alliances and contractors. Examples: Process engineering support contractor alliances and Process chemical programs, cooling water programs, wastewater treating programs and support of Process simulation software.
Ø Facilitate best practice process networks as assigned.
Ø Review new process technology for application at sites.
Ø Review major process modifications and significant process equipment modifications as requested by site leadership or Operations SVP.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v BS Chemical Engineering with 15 years’ experience managing technical programs in the oil refining industry.
v Experience Working with hydroprocessing and supervising personnel and/or technical programs.
