Responsible for producing engineering standards and specifications as well as working to continuously improve the technical content of our bidding, business case justification, estimating, and construction packages.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Daily Operations.

Ø  Respond to project requests for technical support including code interpretation, specification of engineered materials and equipment, in construction engineering responses, attending project process hazard review sessions, membership on company technical committees Design Projects.

Ø  Overseeing the mechanical design process by developing the process for PFD and P&ID, developing specifications for purchased products and materials, developing piping and pipe support design, developing welding procedures, developing hydraulic design of piping and pipeline systems, selecting and specifying pumps (ANSI and API) and valves, specifying and overseeing the design of API 650 storage tanks and ASME Section VIII pressure vessels, etc.

Ø  Design Review.

Ø  Conducting thorough and timely design review of engineering packages produced by third party engineering firms.

Ø  Providing leadership, direction, and work instructions to designers and external design contractors relating to the design packages being prepared for company projects.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

v  B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.

v  10-15 years’ progressive experience as an owner representative in the engineering design capacity related to pipeline and terminals business, chemicals industry or other process industry.

v  Experience must include field experience in execution of construction projects or with an engineering firm serving these industries.

v  Preference given to candidates with experience representing and owner-operator.

v  Candidates with experience with an engineering firm must demonstrate working knowledge of regulatory and operational aspects of project design and execution.

v  Up to 25% travel.

v  Certificates & Licenses :   Professional Engineer license with the capability of expanding licensure to other states by reciprocity.
