Senior Accounting Analyst

We're looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team!

The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department in the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring that all the daily accounting tasks are completed and posted accurately to both the loan management system and the general ledger each day. The position is also responsible for assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with the periodic examination and annual audit processes. The best candidates will be self-motivated, team-oriented, and excited to be a part of a rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities

• Assists with researching and testing general ledger and loan management system-related issues, enhancements, and upgrades
• Assists in month-end close, quarterly compliance audits, year-end close and audits, and annual sales and use tax audits
• Prepares timely month-end GL reconciliations
• Prepares key reports
• Maintains accuracy of the corporate expense platform, including accounts payable
• Maintains accuracy of the Sage Intacct Accounting system and subsidiary ledgers
• Maintains accuracy of the Aspire loan management system
• Manages cash flow from multiple funding and collection bank accounts
• Acts as the liaison between Accounting and other internal teams
• Resolves discrepancies and troubleshoots daily activity

Skills & Specifications

• Customized reporting and database skills
• Working knowledge of accounting software, preferably Sage Intacct
• Working knowledge of loan management system, preferably Aspire
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Must be detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and have excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to prioritize and have a high level of adaptability with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good interpersonal relationship skills and motivation for personal growth

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• CPA preferred
• 4-8 years of progressive experience in Accounting/Finance
• Prior experience in financial services is preferred
