SUMMARY:
The Sales Associate will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers, recommending and selecting merchandise, processing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: may include the following.
- Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
- Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment.
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Issue receipts or change due to customers.
- Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
- Arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales.
- Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
- Demonstrate use or operation of merchandise.
- Clean and stock shelves, counters, and tables.
- Assist with inventory management and stock checks.
- Attend product knowledge training sessions to stay up-to-date on product information.
- Prepare merchandise for purchase by tagging and labeling items.
- Meet and maintain sales revenue Level I KPIs.
- Maintain positive Net Promoter Score (NPS) by providing exceptional customer service.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail setting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and techniques.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Positive and can-do attitude.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Salary : $17 - $21
