SUMMARY:
As a Warehouse Associate you will perform various warehouse activities as well as receive, input, sort, load and unload products. You will also organize stock, maintain inventory, and process, pack and ship orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Stocks and pulls orders in a timely fashion with accuracy
- Receives items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers
- Verifies items received by inspecting the condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies
- Documents items received by recording identifying information
- Transfers orders received by routing or delivering items to requesting department
- Prepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers.
Ships items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items. - Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.
- Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment.
- Solid communication skills and inventory skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
