PURPOSE
The Grounds and Maintenance Team Member at Chapel Pointe will ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and grounds with excellence, including but not limited to basic building maintenance, landscaping, and setup for all internal and external events.
Accountable to: Facilities Director
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary
- Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify and perform maintenance and repair needs.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs and maintenance as necessary.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to promote longevity
- Perform basic landscaping maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, raking, and general upkeep of surrounding areas (medians, entryways, sports fields, etc.)
- Prepare all entryways for weather elements (rain, snow, etc.)
- Maintain and organize all facilities and grounds equipment and storage spaces (barn, storage hallways, utility closets, boiler room).
- Ensure that all setups and teardowns are completed for daily events by working closely with the Facilities Coordinator.
Secondary
- Communicate all requests for tools, resources, volunteers, or other facilities needs appropriately to the Facilities Director.
- Build & foster healthy relationships (positive interactions) with any guests at Chapel Pointe.
- Utilize the facilities management system for task tracking and updates.
- Assist with other areas within the facilities department (cleaning and custodial) as directed by the Facilities Director.
- Work alongside volunteers and champion all relative projects with presence and preparation.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one year of building and grounds maintenance experience (preferred)
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to use general groundskeeping equipment
- Construction experience a plus
- Team building and/or management experience a plus

Working Conditions
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working on ladders up to 20 feet
- Capable of working independently without direct supervision
- Able to work in various weather conditions as required
