Chapel Pointe is a Christ-centered multi-site church in West Michigan with a community of people. Our Vision is: Transformed Followers of Jesus - Passionately Responding to God - Rooted in Prayer and the Bible - Equipping Disciples. Our leadership team and staff love to serve the church. We take the Word of God seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. The elders provide oversight, vision, and guidance to the church. The Lead Pastor, Joel Wayne, provides the leadership and everyday decision-making for the staff, along with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The ELT includes Joel, several key leaders on staff, and the officers on the elder board.
PURPOSE
Working with the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, and the Lead Team to bring simple depth to ministries, staff and resources in order to multiply transformed followers of Jesus. As a member of the lead team, this spiritual and operational leader will oversee the Operations Department including Facilities, IT/Tech,Site Development, HR, Finance) while partnering with all other ministry areas to bring intentionality and relational accountability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Department Lead, you will:
- Oversee Multisite Department: Manage resources, budget, spiritual growth, and leadership development across all sites, ensuring alignment with the church's mission and ministry goals through responsible stewardship.
- Carry Ministry: Model and foster discipleship, unity, and a passion for the gospel, while ensuring alignment with the mission of multiplying transformed followers of Jesus. You will also champion the vision for volunteer engagement within your department.
- Make Decisions as a Lead Team: Collaborate with the other four Team Leads in making decisions aligned with the church’s vision and values. Ensure that all decisions are rooted in prayer and guided by God’s Word. Provide unified leadership across all departments and ministry areas.
- Establish Measurables: Set clear goals and establish measurable objectives. Track progress, and conduct regular check-ins with your team to ensure alignment and progress towards goals. Maintain metrics to evaluate team effectiveness and use these data points for ongoing development and performance evaluations, as well as vital information used to enhance the vision and mission of Chapel Pointe and grow the church.
Strategic Leadership
- Facilities, Technology/IT, Site Development, Finance, HR
- In collaboration with the Executive Pastor, provide oversight for the protocols, advocacy, and implementation of Business & Financial efforts
- Serve on the Lead Team to ensure the vision is being implemented in each divisional area.
- Cast vision for new systems and processes as well as support and better existing processes to enhance support of ministry in a multi-site local church, and to help the church serve as a catalyst for spiritual awakening
- Oversee the Operations team members by ensuring the successful execution of tactical strategies, particularly in facilities, site development, and IT/Tech while promoting operational efficiencies and collaboration between the operations team and other departments.
Departmental Development
- Supervise the operations staff through coaching, training, shepherding, and performance management
- Encourage and supplement recruitment, practical development, leadership development, and shepherding of volunteers
- Champion the effective use of the church’s technical and material resources, and serve as the key second voice to the Executive Pastor in human and financial resources.
Ministry Development
- Research and communicate strategic trends and forecasts in facilities, compliance, technology and business operations. Develop and maintain compliant policies, procedures, records, and relationships
- Lead annual budgeting process for the operations department
- Serve as the primary project manager for building, construction, and site improvement projects church wide.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Meets the biblical qualifications of a leader in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1 and 1 Peter 5
- Effective communicator, motivator, team builder and equipper with a pastoral heart
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Business, Organizational leadership, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of organizational leadership required, ministry experience preferred
- Proven record of leading, managing, and building medium to large teams
- Experience in facility management, facility automation systems, and large commercial construction projects required
- Familiarity with IT/technology and HR functions required
- Experience with finance and accounting systems (Quickbooks) and reporting desired
