Chapel Pointe is a Christ-centered multi-site church in West Michigan with a community of people. Our Vision is: Transformed Followers of Jesus - Passionately Responding to God - Rooted in Prayer and the Bible - Equipping Disciples. Our leadership team and staff love to serve the church. We take the Word of God seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. The elders provide oversight, vision, and guidance to the church. The Lead Pastor, Joel Wayne, provides the leadership and everyday decision-making for the staff, along with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The ELT includes Joel, several key leaders on staff, and the officers on the elder board.
PURPOSE
To lead and oversee a Site location by reproducing the overall Vision of Transformed Followers of Jesus as well as the spiritual and cultural DNA of Chapel Pointe. Taking direction from Chapel Pointe's Lead Pastor and Board of Elders, he is the site’s primary vision and culture carrier. With a team of staff and volunteers, he will lead the site to accomplish outreach and discipleship strategies to become a growing, multi-generational church. Additionally, you will provide pastoral leadership to ensure systems and practices support effective ministry activities while thriving in a centrally serviced multi-site model.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the site in accomplishing goals and action plans established by the leadership team. Submit to the vision and direction of the Lead Pastor and serve as the connecting link between the Site and Chapel Pointe for the purpose of providing and implementing a unified direction and culture in all sites
- Develop a vision and strategy to reach the community by impacting people of all ages
- Develop a healthy leadership structure by recruiting and raising up key leaders who will oversee the primary areas of the site ministries
- Lead and oversee the key leaders at the Site and work with them to build teams of volunteers who will carry out the ministry of the church to impact the entire community
- Coordinate with Central Services to create clear pathways for leaders and volunteers for training, vision and supplies
- Teach and preach at the Site during weekend services that could be live preaching, a hybrid of video and live preaching or video from the lead pastor
- Maintain and implement care structure by meeting with people, utilizing small group leaders and/or site deacons
- Helping people stick to the ministry by pointing them to next steps like baptism, Starting Pointe, or Membership
- Recruiting and developing Small Group leaders and helping people get connected to Small Groups
- Be responsible for site budget lines relative to the site pastor role such as Community Impact and Care.
- Fulfilling other pastoral/administrative duties as required

- Experienced servant-leadership, exemplifying the humility and attitude of Christ
- Consistent personal habits of prayer, Bible study, and giving.
- Dedication to his family, exhibiting wisdom in balancing this with ministry
- Participation in consistent spiritual accountability with other godly men
- Possess theological maturity and depth preferable with formal theological training or intensive mentoring
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of ministry of experience, multi-site experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Seminary degree preferred
- Must fulfill the qualifications of an Elder as described in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1 and 1 Peter 5
- Possess theological maturity and depth preferable with formal theological training
- Effective communicator, motivator, volunteer team builder, and equipper with a pastoral heart
- Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- A strategic, big picture person, who loves thinking outside the box
- High-capacity, multi-tasking, and comfortable working independently without constant supervision
