Chapin Furniture is a family-owned home furnishings store, eager to add great new team members with positive attitudes!
Our team enjoys working together, and our store is well-respected in the community, because of our employees! We are desiring to add more like-minded team members who enjoy working with the public.
If you like to be active, enjoy putting things together, and meeting new people, you will love this position! Our team not only receives and stocks furniture at our warehouse in Chapin, we also open, assemble, and deliver furniture into our customer's home. We often hear from our customers that the deliveries by our delivery team are among the best delivery experiences they've ever had!
If you like sitting in an office all day, and not being active, the job is definitely not for you. Our Warehouse and Delivery position involves lifting heavy furniture, with the aid of other team members and with specialized dollies, hand trucks, and power equipment. It's great exercise!

- Experience using hand tools such as drills, socket sets, etc.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must have a valid driver's license, and a good driving record.
- Willing to undergo a background check.
- Physically able to lift 100 pounds multiple times daily.
- Previous warehouse experience (receiving, barcode labeling and scanning).
- A good understanding of how things go together and the ability to assemble items.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to fix things that are broken.
- A desire to stay busy.
This is a full-time position.

- A typical work week is 40-45 hours per week (9 am- 5pm), with Sundays and Wednesdays off
- In retail, people like to shop busy holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, Black Friday weekends, so you must be able to work Saturdays and these busy holiday weekends as needed.
- Receiving shipments
- Use of barcode scanners for inventory control (will train)
- Lifting and moving large pieces of furniture, sometimes over 100 lbs
- Operation of furniture transportation machinery to include warehouse order picker and delivery truck (CDL is not required)
- Delivery, installation and setup of heavy furniture (sometimes exceeding 100 lbs) in customers’ homes (often upstairs)
- Assembly of furniture in homes and at warehouse
- Warehouse and showroom maintenance
- Stocking furniture in store showroom
- Providing excellent customer service
