Chapin Hall is seeking an experienced Associate Policy Analyst to join our Implementation Collaborative team. The Implementation Collaborative team consists of national public and private child welfare experts dedicated to collaborating with child welfare agency leadership to integrate the best available evidence into system transformation strategies designed to achieve agency goals and create positive change and improved outcomes for vulnerable children and families. The team works across five interconnected domains of capacity building and systems change, including: data analytics and evidence use; child welfare agency leadership, governance and strategy; practice and implementation; policy and fiscal alignment; and continuous quality improvement in multiple jurisdictions across the country.
The Associate Project Associate will support projects and activities that span the Implementation Collaborative’s five domains of capacity building and systems change noted above, as well as contribute to Chapin Hall’s growing work focused on preparing child welfare jurisdictions for the implementation of the federal Family First Prevention and Services Act. This Associate Policy Analyst’s main contributions are anticipated to include supporting Chapin Hall’s body of work around child welfare system transformation with an emphasis on the development and implementation of Motivational Interviewing across our Family First portfolio.
This position will report directly to a Chapin Hall Policy Fellow or Senior Policy Analyst and allows for remote work and periodic in-person attendance at Chicago, IL meetings. Additionally, this position will participate in daily virtual meetings and travel to the east and/or west coast for in-person meetings depending on assigned projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain work plans to guide implementation of clinical practices or evidence-based programs within child welfare organizations.
- Conducts thorough and critical reviews of relevant literature and synthesizes findings, with a specific focus on Motivational Interviewing.
- Develops briefs, memos, reports, tools, surveys instruments and item guides, implementation plans, presentations and other products for internal and external audiences.
- Develops communications materials to support implementation and systems change efforts.
- Responds timely and thoughtfully to jurisdictional partners and Chapin Hall leadership in the execution of the scope of work for each project.
- Manages competing priorities and requests from multiple team members and client partners and prioritizes appropriately.
- Works collegially and collaboratively with colleagues across policy, research, and administration to share information, responsibility and resources.
- Creates and maintains Share Point sites, project work plans, and other project management tools.
- Coordinates administrative functions and logistics of project-related meetings with key external partners, funding and policy stakeholders.
- Develops meeting materials including results-based agendas, synthesizes meeting proceedings and action items, integrates meeting planning and outputs with overarching project plans and work plans, tracks completion of action items.
- Develops and refines PowerPoint presentations and other presentation materials, talking points and handouts.
- Manages project communications occurring on digital platforms (websites, social media)
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Salary : $58,500 - $77,983
