The Product Specialist works in the sales department and assists in the sales and merchandising of vehicles.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Conducts self in a manner which is consistent with guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.
Assists sales staff and management with customer overflow-determines each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening, demonstrates new vehicles (includes test drives), and explains features.
Attends sales meetings.
Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
Maintains prospect development system.
Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefit to customers.
Assist customers with insurance requirements.
Delivers new vehicles to customers. This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
Activate Sync on vehicles and gas, tag, and send deliveries to detail department.
Updates and changes pricing and hang tags in vehicles when necessary.
Puts price stickers on vehicles.
Take pictures and videos of vehicles for website.
Introduces customers to Service Department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations.
