Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift heavy objects as needed
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ambitious, hard working presence in a team environment
- Customer service oriented
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Must possess the skills to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions and processes
- This Technician is responsible for performing transmission repairs and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards
- Expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able and willing to work on all other work assigned to him/her
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repairs as needed
- Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
- Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so the customers are well-informed of status of repair, change of promise times, and any additional services needed
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
