Core Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning etc.
- Conduct comprehensive routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability, and document finding and recommended maintenance or repairs
- Communicate additional services needed to the Service Advisor, providing an estimate of time needed to complete additional repairs
- Execute work specified on the repair order in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
- Complete warranty repair work in compliance with manufacturer specifications
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mainline automotive technician required
- Proficient with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance
- ASE and/or Mazda certified preferred
- Must have your own tools and tool box
- Demonstrates thorough workmanship coupled with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication and general computer skills
- Must work well in a team environment, and be able to stand for extended periods
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Hours and Work Environment
The Service Department is open 7am – 6pm weekdays and 7am – 4pm on Saturdays. We are seeking candidates who are available to work Saturdays. You will have Sundays and one week day off. Technicians enjoy a high volume workload in a climate-controlled shop environment.
