Chapman Honda is looking for an experienced Mainline Service Advisor to join our team, serving as a liaison between customers and technicians in the Service Department. As a Service Advisor, your job is to educate customers on their vehicle’s maintenance needs and ensuring each customer enjoys a helpful and efficient service experience. Core Responsibilities:
- Schedule, confirm and prepare for customer appointments, ensuring an efficient service experience
- Determine vehicle needs based on customer feedback, vehicle inspection, and current mileage and recommend additional services for optimal vehicle performance
- Create repair orders for customers, including cost and time estimates, with full transparency
- Communicate regularly with technicians and parts associates to ensure timely completion of work
- Prioritize required services and monitor the progress of vehicle repair throughout the day, keeping customers informed throughout the repair process
- Follow-up with customers upon completion of services to ensure customer satisfaction, addressing any questions or concerns promptly
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous automotive service advisor/writer experience is required
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
- Ability to articulate vehicle service needs in a way that is easy for the customer to understand
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Hours and Work Environment
The Service Department is open Monday – Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturdays 8am to 4pm. We are looking for flexible candidates with open availability during the department’s business hours. The Service Advisor works both indoors and outdoors in the Service Drive.
