Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, particularly in baking and pastry preparation. As a Baker/decorator, you will be responsible for baking laminated dough while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Cake decorating and piping skills are a plus. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional products that delight our customers. Early mornings are a must. Shift starts at 3am.
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed during food preparation and baking processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Decorating and finishing pastry. Frosting cakes and preparing fillings etc.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings based on customer feedback.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions about products, and accommodating special requests.
- Utilize kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and various baking tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a bakery or culinary environment with a focus on baking and pastry preparation.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other baking equipment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in recipe development and presentation.
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as needed.

Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
