POSITION:
Early On Service Provider - Substitute
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Public Health, Social Work, Infant Mental Health or related field
- Minimum three years’ experience working with families and young children
- Demonstrate knowledge of typical development for children from birth to kindergarten.
- Develop and work toward achievement of performance objectives for each assigned child, with a system for data collection and evaluation for these objectives.
- Coach parents in supporting child development outcomes using multi-sensory techniques.
- Work as a team with other professionals to pursue and meet individual performance objectives.
- Establish a positive relationship with parents and other service providers, and communicate with them regularly about growth, progress, challenges and successes.
- Serve as a resource to parents, providing information and/or contacts for support, assistance or knowledge of their child's development.
- Serve as a member of the 0-3 multidisciplinary service team.
- Work cooperatively with itinerant staff, office staff, administration and community service agencies.
- Demonstrate professional learning through attendance at ISD, community and state offered trainings.
- Prepare required reports and provide necessary information accurately and punctually.
- Encourage family involvement in community resources and opportunities.
- Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality and attendance at home visits, ISD meetings, and trainings.
- Maintain appropriate records.
- Use universal precautions at all times for personal health and safety.
- Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
