This position is responsible for servicing and maintaining field heavy construction equipment, trucks, and vehicles at a designated job site.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any mechanical failings with on-site heavy equipment
- Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy-duty vehicles
- Complete simple to medium level repairs and component replacements onsite
- Learn, follow, and promote all Charah safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in FIELD heavy equipment maintenance required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance required
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in ash management, structural fills and landfills preferred
- Welding experience preferred
- HVAC Freon certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current OSHA 10 (or similar) construction safety certification preferred
Work Environment & Conditions
- This position requires a flexible work schedule: nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime
- Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
