The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing sanitation processes and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role involves conducting routine inspections, managing sanitation equipment, and providing critical support to the Food Safety Manager.
\n- Conduct routine inspections of structural and equipment damage and report findings to the Food Safety Manager.
- Conduct routine inspections for sanitation deficiencies and report findings to the Food Safety Manager.
- Conduct sterilization processes of processing environments and new and existing equipment.
- Monitor sub-contracted cleaning and routine post-sanitation inspections of processing areas and equipment.
- Monitor, conduct, and verify routine documented chemical concentration checks.
- Conduct routine documented chemical titrations and correct findings.
- Install and maintain job-specific equipment (e.g., paper towels, soap, and sanitizer dispensers).
- Maintain sanitation equipment and conduct inventory of job-specific equipment and materials.
- Monitor and conduct post-USDA sampling cleaning and allergen washdowns.
- Conduct employee training for Sanitation Custodian.
- Provide critical support to the Food Safety Manager with daily reports of ongoing situations.
- Experience in food safety and sanitation processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections.
- Ability to manage and maintain sanitation equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and training purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments
- PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) Prefer
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Prefer
- Food Safety certification prefers
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sanitation or food safety role.
- Previous supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Proven track record of managing sanitation processes and ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
$60,000 - $65,000 a year
there is an additional $4,000 annual shift different for this role
