CourseCo Inc - Fairview Weddings & Events is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Events Staff member to join our team. This exciting new position combines the roles of Outside Player Services, Banquet Server, and Banquet Setup Duties, providing a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same! We perform over 100 weddings, banquets, and golf tournaments annually at our beautiful Chardonnay location, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fun, and active environment. This is a great opportunity for those seeking a flexible role with varied responsibilities. Please note that this position will not have a consistent schedule, as tournaments, banquets, and weddings will all happen at different days and times from week to week. This position is perfect for someone looking for as few as 5 hours a week, or up to 30 hours per week, depending on the events calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Banquet Server Duties:
- Assist the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef in overseeing food and beverage operations during events.
- Set up, serve, and break down banquet events, ensuring that food and beverages are presented and served to the highest standards.
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction, addressing any special requests, changes, or substitutions during events.
- Refilling drinks, delivering food, bussing tables, and providing other service duties as required.
- Banquet Setup Duties:
- Perform light and heavy furniture moving, including tables, chairs, buffet furniture, and other event-related equipment.
- Responsible for general event setup and breakdown, including cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, window washing, and trash removal.
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure all supplies are easily accessible.
- Report supply needs to supervisors and assist with maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Outside Player Services Duties:
- Greet tournament guests and direct them to their golf carts.
- Clean and maintain golf carts, ensuring they are fully staged with golf bags.
- Attend the range throughout the day and assist members as needed at the end of their rounds.
- Assist with tournament operations.
- Stage golf carts and perform various duties to ensure a smooth golf course operation.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid US driver’s license.
- Previous hospitality, event services, or customer service experience is a plus.
- Flexible schedule and the ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on event needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude with members and guests.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to the demands of different roles on any given day.
- Positive attitude and passion for providing exceptional guest service.
