Chardonnay Golf Club, located just outside of Napa in American Canyon, CA, is excited to announce the exceptional opportunity of Golf Shop Assistant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Pay Pay Scale: $16-$17 per hour

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities:
• Use Point of Sale System to check-in golfers and sell merchandise
• Greet Members & Guests as the enter the golf shop and give fantastic guest service.
• Keep golf shop clean, neat, and always organized.
• Restock golf shop during and prior to the end of shift. These should be checked on the hour every hour as well. This includes supplies.
• Keep the shop clean, free of trash and presentable
• Have a radio at all times to in order to communicate with staff
• Ensure that Members and Guests are aware of their starting time
• Ensure guests know where areas of the facility are located
• Be of service to guests and members request with the respect that the guests have an enjoyable day while at Chardonnay Golf Club.
• Ensure Members and Guests are aware of any facility information which include Member Programs, Green Fees, Merchandise Offerings, Food and Beverage Offerings and more.
• Thank Guests and members for visiting Chardonnay Golf Club.
• May be asked to cover a different and/or other part of the golf operations duties at anytime

Experience / Education / Certification Requirements

• High School education or its equivalent.
• Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language.

The golf shop is the “Hub” of the facility operation. We are the direct link of communication to all departments and guests. Staff members need to be knowledgeable, organized, aware, friendly and enthusiastic on a daily basis. We set the tone for the day and provide an atmosphere unlike any other.

It is imperative to focus on the following

• Communication with all staff

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height.
• Frequent bending, turning, kneeling and stooping.
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Repetitive motion required including computer entry.
• Must be able to operate a golf car in a safe manner.
• Normal vision and hearing required.

Experience

Preferred Public and Private Golf Club experience preferred but not required.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
