**This is an ON-SITE local position that will be REQUIRED to work daily within the territory surrounding Joliet, IL. You will be able to Work-From-Home (WFH) when prospecting at certain times, but will be required to travel as necessary for site visits/client meetings and to come for training and ongoing meet-ups in our Rochester, NY office. Applicants MUST be located within the designated territory to maximize their ability to meet with clients daily, and travel to additional project sites as needed each day. This territory will cover the Joliet, IL and surrounding area, with potential clients also in neighboring states!**

We provide our customers the support they need to develop an electric charging program that fits their needs, and their customer’s needs, all while working with a single partner. We provide the service and support to ensure that our customers can build out their charging infrastructure while helping them take advantage of available state and utility incentives in their area.
Job Description:
ChargeSmart EV is looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven Territory Sales Representative to generate leads and drive sales. The Territory Sales Representative's responsibilities include submitting regular sales reports to management, informing potential and existing customers of product features and benefits, and resolving customer complaints. You should also be able to create as well as present persuasive sales proposals to customers to encourage sales and repeat business. To be successful as a Territory Sales Representative, you should be persuasive and have excellent negotiation skills.
Ultimately, an exceptional Territory Sales Representative should be able to demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets. Having a well-developed phone presence and high comfort level in initiating conversations is essential to fulfilling the daily duties of an outside sales representative. Aside from a social and positive personality, Territory Sales Representatives must be self-starters and proactive problem solvers, since not every day is the same and the workplace setting is constantly changing.
Responsibilities:
- Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
- Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily
- Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
- Input all activity into Company CRM for efficient pipeline management and follow up outreach
- Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
- Collaborating with the marketing department to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials
- Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory
- Identify local business opportunities and challenges
- Report on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
- Present our products and services to prospective customers
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
- Work closely with salespeople and other internal teams to meet individual and group
- Answer customer questions about features, pricing, and additional services
- Collaborate with sales representatives from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
Requirements and Skills:
- Experience making 50 cold calls by phone each day is required (such as previous Inside Sales experience or Call Center experience)
- Proven sales experience (by phone preferably, but sales experience in general is acceptable)
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Experience working with Monday.com or similar CRM
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
- Computer use competency
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and driven
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to travel locally for customer site visits (most site visits would be within a 250-mile radius, generally closer to TSM's location)
- Travel to HQ in Rochester, NY as needed and for training/sales calls
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field (preferred but not required)
Compensation:
- Base Salary of $50k Annually
- $4,800 Car Allowance (spread evenly throughout the year)
- $1,200 Phone Allowance (spread evenly throughout the year)
- Uncapped Commissions Possible Annual Bonus Achievements
- Company 401k Match Program (5% Employee Contribution = 4% Employer Match) up to a maximum Employer $ Match of $5,000 per year
- Health Insurance (Employer Covers 80% of Monthly Plan Cost, in a Tiered System)
**Territory Sales Managers can expect to make $100,000 /year OTE, in their first year of selling!**
