Responsibilities
Prior Authorization Process - Coordinate and obtain prior authorizations for medical devices from insurance providers to ensure timely delivery to patients.
Insurance Communication - Act as a liaison between the company, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to verify benefits and authorization requirements.
Documentation - Prepare, submit, and track all prior authorization requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines.
Customer Support - Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and internal teams regarding the status of authorizations.
Problem Resolution - Investigate and resolve any issues or denials related to authorizations in a timely manner.
Data Management - Maintain detailed and organized records of all prior authorization activities in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Experience - Minimum 2 years of experience in prior authorization, medical billing, or a related healthcare role.
Technical Skills - Proficiency in medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare systems (e.g., EMR/EHR systems).
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with both in-office and remote workdays.
Remote Days - Mondays and Fridays
Please note that this role will start as a contract - 40 hours per week with insurance and others benefits available. After 4 months the candidate will convert to a full time employee at the end client.
