We are currently seeking a dynamic Buyer or Senior Buyer to enhance our inventory management, vendor relationships, negotiation prowess, and contract management processes to maintain our industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Oversight: Maintain optimal inventory levels while ensuring products meet our quality benchmarks.
- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to forecast buying trends, market dynamics, and consumer preferences aligned with our target demographics.
- Vendor Relations: Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with suppliers and wholesalers to secure competitive terms and superior product availability.
- Contract Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate contracts with suppliers to optimize cost-effectiveness and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Financial Risk Assessment: Evaluate and mitigate financial risks associated with purchasing decisions.
- Product Knowledge: Stay in alignment of industry innovations and emerging trends to drive product selection and development.
Additional Requirements:
- Skills and Abilities: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Exceptional organizational responsibilities are non-negotiable.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert level in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Smart Sheets; familiarity with SAP is preferred.
- Decision-Making: Proven ability to compile and analyze data to make informed, strategic decisions under pressure.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Buyer or Senior Buyer position within a retail or wholesale environment; background in product development and sourcing preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
