As a Montessori-style and STEAM-based Mandarin and Spanish Immersion school, we provide engaging music, math, science and Mandarin and Spanish language immersion in a peaceful and joyful environment to inspire students to be independent thinkers, hard workers, problem solvers, and team players.

We provide quality education to students of different backgrounds to help and equip them to become competent global leaders who strive for academic excellence, moral character, community involvement, and love for Christ.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all aspects of teaching, planning, and managing an indoor classroom while exhibiting the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all facets.
• Prepare and execute lesson plans for each grade level from The Good and the Beautiful curriculum
• Maintain needed instructional supplies through communication with the Director & parents
• Present concepts in a variety of ways using curriculum, creativity & proven methods
• Maintain order & structure in the classroom according to Anchored Oak Farm School policies
• Assign and grade all assignments while providing additional instruction and review as needed to obtain subject mastery
• Prepare and send home with students any lessons to be completed at home.
• Regularly communicate with parents through the assigned app regarding special events, news, updates and academics
• Schedule and execute parent conferences to address concerns about a student’s academic or behavioral performance in a Christ-like and timely manner
• Comply with all Anchored Oak Farm School policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Agreement with Charis Academy Statement of Faith & ability to exhibit a Christ-like demeanor
• Excellent classroom management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with adults and children
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Ability to work independently and to carry out timely assignments and responsibilities
• Adaptability to perform any other related assignments required to accomplish the objectives of Anchored Oak Farm School
• Ability to maintain regular, consistent, punctual attendance
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and operate technology

PREFERRED:

• Degree in education from an accredited institution
• Previous position as an instructional leader in the elementary and middle school level
