Chariton Valley Communications Corporation is looking for a full-time Network Engineer. Following our mission, Keeping You Connected, Chariton Valley has provided state-of-the-art communication solutions to businesses and residents in Northeast Missouri for 70 years.
Join our team of Network Engineers who are responsible for design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting and documentation of the IP and transport networks. The working schedule will vary, including evenings and weekends, as needed, as well as on-call responsibilities.
We are looking for an individual who is able to analyze and do advanced troubleshooting of the network. You must be proficient in IP network best practices and troubleshooting as well as be able to think critically, possess a positive attitude, be able to multi-task, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be a self-starter with little guidance. It is important to be versatile with different networks and their commands to restore outages. This position requires you to maintain confidentiality, understand and interpret technical documents, and understand conceptual designs and implementation. You will have to occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds and must have color vision and good depth perception. We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
