What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney position at Charles E. Boyk Law Offices, LLC?
WHAT WE DO
We are involved in one of the most important jobs there is – giving a voice to those who have been injured by others. When people have been injured and are floundering under the weight of medical expenses incurred by no fault of their own, and are facing how their lives have been changed because of their injuries, they have to tell their story to a bureaucracy whose main goal is to make them go away.
In a nutshell, we ensure that negligently injured people are truly seen and fairly treated. It is incredibly exciting and fulfilling work.
We believe in combining the best of customer service, constant innovation, and sound legal principles to show insurance companies, juries, arbitrators, and mediators who our clients are and why they deserve what we’re asking for.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
- We are creative problem solvers
- We enjoy working together and providing an exceptional client experience
- We do what we say we’ll do
- We practice open and transparent communication
- We face challenges with fortitude and optimism
- We listen and care
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Are you a people person? Have you been told that you communicate in a clear and compassionate way? Can you work efficiently in a high-demand environment? Are you a great negotiator who can be creative and think out of the box? Are you constantly looking for ways to improve the service you offer? Are you interested in or do you have experience litigating a personal injury case?
If so, you’re in the right place. We are looking for an associate attorney who meets the following criteria:
- You communicate clearly. You can effectively explain just about anything to anyone. You excel at communicating in writing and in person. You can tell a compelling story. People like talking with you.
- You are detail oriented. As far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. You are diligent. Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
- You are a sharp problem solver. You love taking on difficult challenges. You like learning new things and can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches. When you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it.
- You are a team player. You listen and ask questions. You recognize, respect, and support other team members. You know how to work collaboratively and find joy in celebrating the success of others.
- You want to help us grow. You are looking at this as a long-term opportunity. You have an interest in contributing to the growth of our office and the firm overall.
We are working to build the best customer service experience and results in the industry. Part of that service includes managing and working up client case files, advocating for clients with insurance companies, medical providers, mediators, arbitrators, judges, and juries. It includes initial consults with potential clients, signing them up, managing cases from start to finish, strategizing on how to strengthen the case, regularly communicating with clients, working closely with paralegals and staff, preparing settlement demands, negotiating with insurance adjusters, litigating, preparing trial materials, maintaining client relations, and more. Injured people have a lot on their plates right after their accidents and they need to quickly find someone they can trust and rely on to do what they say they are going to do. Because of this, this role is very important.
Your interactions with clients will be the lifeblood of their experience with the firm. So, you will build meaningful relationships with them because of how often you communicate.
