We're seeking a Service Technician who has excellent Customer Service skills, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working on a team. Our dealership makes customer service a top priority so candidates must have a strong attention to detail and maintain a professional appearance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership
- Test drive vehicles and testing components/systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc…)
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
- Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Requirements:
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of Service Technician experience (preferred)
- Certified General Motors Technician
- ASE Certification (required)
- B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
- Basic Computer skills
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
- Have a valid Iowa Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Will submit to a drug and background screening prior to employment
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
