Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking to add a Field System Administrator to our Stamford team! In this role, you will provide crucial support to our clients, serving as both field and escalation support, while performing the following responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for end users.
- Install, configure, and support Microsoft-related technologies, including Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.
- Deploy and maintain virtual environments, including VMware and Hyper-V.
- Support backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and system uptime.
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot various network devices and services, including WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security systems.
- Perform hardware installations, replacements, and upgrades for workstations, servers, and networking equipment.
- Effectively communicate with customers regarding ticket progress, on-site findings, necessary repairs, and any service-impacting changes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service tickets, time tracking, expenses, and site visit details in ConnectWise.
- Adhere to internal processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in service delivery.
- Provide basic end-user training and recommendations for IT environment improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5 years of IT field service experience (preferred).
- Certifications such as MCSA, VCP, CCNA are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with platforms like ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, and Office 365 is beneficial.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality service.
- Excellent and clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while coordinating with remote teams.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
- Willingness to travel to client sites
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
