US Import Logistics Supervisor

The US Import Logistics Supervisor position is a pivotal role in our organization to oversee and facilitate inbound, outbound and inventory operations of our company. This role will also assist in the transformation of our current supply chain model to support the desire of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
The role encompasses tasks from vendor/factory shipping through to customer delivery.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who can work independently and who is passionate about contributing to the consumer experience through the timely quality delivery of creative, customized products.
Responsibilities
· Supervise the movement, distribution and storage of product
· Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries
· Supervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
· Organize warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments
· Respond to any issues or complaints
· Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
· Ensure all import/export and warehouse operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
· Prepare, share and file logistics reports
· Monitor and manage internal and external logistics personnel/partners to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of goods
· Implement safety procedures and standards, and ensure staff follow them
· Plan and track the shipment of finished goods/ products according to customer requirements
· Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to logistics management
· Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
· Research & propose current technology options to optimize procedures
· Manage, recruit and coordinate logistics staff according to availabilities and requirements
· Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
Qualifications:
- 5 years prior experience working in related field
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications. Advanced in Microsoft Excel a
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Contract negotiation skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and problem solve.
- Project Management experience
- Experience in using Business Central
- BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
Salary : $78,000 - $92,000
