This position plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment while supporting various departments and student services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide administrative support to Units within the Division of Student Affairs
  • Greet people entering the building, answering any questions, providing direction, and alerting staff when someone is there to meet or visit them
  • Serve as the first point of contact for current and prospective students, faculty, staff, and visitors
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless delivery of student services and support
  • Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping and data management
  • Provide comprehensive information about academic programs, application processes, and student services
  • Manage multi-line phone system, directing calls and messages appropriately while maintaining professional communication standards
  • Facilitate student inquiries and requests, connecting them with appropriate resources and departments
  • Create and maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors to the Student Center
  • Oversee the building access log system and monitor visitor traffic
  • Maintain inventory of Student Center supplies and equipment, managing procurement requests
  • Ensure reception area and common spaces remain professional and welcoming
  • Provide administrative support to the Division of Student Affairs and other Student Center departments
  • Utilize university software systems for data entry, record-keeping, and communication
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant university technologies and platforms
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements :

EDUCATION :

  • Regionally accredited bachelor’s degree and / or equivalent of combined education and experience in the related field.
  • EXPERIENCE :

  • 3 years’ experience in an education, or University program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY / SKILLS :

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • PC proficient with working knowledge of PowerPoint, Access, and Word
  • COMPENSATION : $25 - $28.80 per hour

    COMPLEXITY :

  • The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing / obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.
